St Sarkis Armenian Church

The Church of Saint Sarkis was built by Cabuste Gulbenkian as a memorial to his parents. It is an identical replica of the mother church in Armenia although on a much smaller scale. Interior faced with stucco. Chandelier. Intricately carved double wood doors. Marble relief of dove descending in front of font. Alabaster and marble inset with onyx and lapis lazuli at altar. Leather covered swing doors. Carving of angels in the gable, painting of Mary and Jesus. No pews.
