The modern Croydon Clocktower complex is joined to the Victorian Town Hall and consists of the Central Library, Visitor Information Centre, museum, bar, galleries, booking hall and glass-roofed cafe. The Clocktower is also home to the David Lean Cinema. Also at the Clocktower is the stunning Grade II listed Braithwaite Hall. Designed by Charles Henman Junior and built in the 1890s, the hall has an oak floor, 40ft high wooden ceilings, panelled walls and stained glass windows. The Hall also has a large minstrels' gallery, housing an old library.
