Gidea Park Exhbition Estate was created as a garden suburb in 1910 with architect-designed houses and cottages; further houses were added in the 1930s. Variey of architectural styles, with front gardens and garages, in quiet tree-lined streets. Six of the 1910-11 exhibition houses are Grade II listed. In 1934 35 houses mostly of contemporary flat-roofed designs were built for a "Modern Homes" Exhibition and one of these by Lubetkin is Grade II listed.
