Edwardian West End theatre designed in 1907 by WGR Sprague. The exterior was rebuilt in 1959 by Hugh Casson and Bryan Westwood after the theatre was bombed in 1940. Attractive two-tiered curved auditorium with boxes seating 977, decorated in white with ornate gold plasterwork, and blue and gold domed celling. Modern foyer. Three 1950s style bars including Dress Circle Bar with good views over Shaftesbury Avenue. The interior of the auditorium is Renaissance style.
