An outstanding example of a mid-Georgian Palladian villa, designed by Taylor in 1762 and finished by Chambers in 1770. It has been restored to its 18th Century splendour, complete with a full cycle of 18th Century wall paintings in their original setting in the dining room and an elliptical staircase. There is an unique period kitchen, and an entire floor of authentic rooms with props. For the landscaped park in the manner of Capability Brown, please see the entry for Danson Park.
