Lichfield Court
United Kingdom / Richmond, England
Location ID: #10136357
Grade II listed Art Deco development built in 1935 by Bertram Carter, comprising two large blocks of flats located off Sheen Road. The blocks are arranged around courtyards and accessed from a driveway, which runs between the two buildings through an original 1930s moderne wrought iron gate. The elevations are faced with red coloured brick from which white concrete balconies are cantilevered. Both blocks have many original Art Deco features including a stunning main foyer with porter's office and wooden mailbox, stairwells, facades, lighting and doors. Many flats still have original fireplaces and bathrooms and access to flats can be arranged with individual owners. All front doors lead onto the balcony overlooking the inner courtyard and all the flats have private balconies overlooking Richmond town centre. Five storeys high, Lichfield Court also offers the opportunity to film on the rooftop with striking views of Richmond and central London.
