The Bath stone building’s facade has a porch with columns, a balcony along the first floor, a large gilt figure of Pallas Athena and a classical frieze. Entrance Hall of nave and aisles with columns and over the nave a segmental tunnel vault. Between the columns original light fittings. There is no division between the entrance hall and the staircase, which starts with one flight and then splits in two, breaking at right angles and at right angles back again to reach the first floor landing, the centre of which rest on the tunnel vault below.
