Large Art Deco building designed as offices in 1921-34 by Charles W.Long. Victoria House has a very impressive, ornate stone exterior with garden. The interior is equally impressive with huge stone pillars and galleries, ornate marble ceilings and floors. There is a modern, high-tech glass atrium and original 1930s fittings have been preserved throughout many of the rooms. Rooms are large with magnificent wooden flooring and panelling. There is an octagonal ground-floor office and a mahogany-panelled third-floor boardroom. Large conference type rooms, including a hall with windows either side and small proscenium arch stage. Two staircases: main double staircase from marbled foyer, and north spiral staircase with view up five floors to skylight. Period marbled toilets / washrooms. Long narrow corridors. Large basement area.
