Liverpool Street Station
United Kingdom / London, England
Location ID: #10136726
Originally completed in 1874, Liverpool Street is one of London biggest termini and underwent a complete overhaul in the mid 1980s. It is now partially buried beneath the Broadgate office complex. The current building blends Victorian architecture with modern and contemporary features.
Features within the station include a departure board, a large concourse, clock towers, a balcony level with retail outlets, corridors, staircases and escalators, a taxi rank, war memorials and Victorian ironwork. A large station roof also offers opportunities for more ambitious projects.
Trains operating out of Liverpool Street draw power from overhead cables.
