Location ID: #10137096
Grade II listed 1930s building with 19 unique rooms ranging from the Assembly Hall with its stunning domed ceiling to small rooms with views over Dean's Yard. The Assembly Hall was designed by Sir Herbert Baker and is flooded by natural light during the day from 15 arched windows on the gallery level. The round hall has English oak panelling, a 30-foot glass dome and gilded angels. The Hoare Memorial Hall has a small stage at one end and an intimate private balcony. Three sets of oak framed French doors lead from Bishop Partridge Hall onto a balcony with spectacular views across Dean's Yard to Westminster Abbey. The Convocation Hall housed the House of Lords at times during the Second World War and has a low stage, framed by arches and crowned by five semi-circular apses. Other rooms are of varying sizes and offer modern conference facilities and views of Dean's Yard. There is also a marbled floor foyer.
