French-style, early Edwardian West End theatre designed in 1901 by Lewin Sharp. Facade in French Renaissance/Art Nouveau style. Ornate three-tiered circular auditorium with boxes, decorated in pink and blue with baroque plasterwork. Semi-naked figures in auditorium by Messrs Hooydonk. Small white marble-floored foyer and two bars. There are two Royal Retiring Rooms in the Louis XIV style. Good backstage with crossover/quick change corridor.
