Grade II listed public library built in the 1960s by Sir Basil Spence. It forms an oval shape with vertical concrete fins, designed to represent the fanned pages of a book. The large library includes a children's library, a gallery, a computer centre and a cafe. The library levels have a semi-circular galleried floors, reached via two open plan spiral staircases.
