The Royal Institution is a Grade I* listed 18th Century Georgian building, boasting a range of rooms with original features and a stunning exterior. An undiscovered gem for filming, there is a choice of spaces, great light, and easy access in the heart of Mayfair. The spaces available for filming are: a renovated 19th Century laboratory; the Faraday Lecture Theatre, a tiered arena-style auditorium seating up to 400 and home to many fascinating science discoveries; our Grand Entrance with marble chequerboard floor, double staircases and chandelier; a large library with an ornate plaster ceiling and period decoration, including a unique circular mirror dating from 1802; smaller drawing rooms with book-lined walls and Georgian fireplaces; as well as more contemporary spaces and museum exhibition space.
