Danson Park is a Grade II park of special historical interest. It occupies more than 180 acres of land. As Bexley's flagship park, Danson Park is recognised nationally for its historic landscape and buildings. The gardens were laid out in a style appropriate to Danson Mansion, a classic Palladian villa built between 1762 and 1767. The park's facilities include playing fields, tennis courts, football pitches, a pitch and putt course, putting green, orienteering course, 'Trim and Trail' course, windsurfing school, children's playground, fishing lake, pedalos/boats, water sports club; The Boathouse Function Suite, pavilions and toilets.
