Grade II listed cinema. Dating from 1910, the Phoenix was resdesigned and rebuilt in an Art Deco style in the 1930s, The original Edwardian barrel vault ceiling was retained and decorative gold panels were added to the auditorium's walls. In 2010, the cinema underwent renovation and the vaulted ceiling and distinctive neon sign were restored. A glazed balcony projects out from the first floor cafe-bar.
