Dating back to the 15th century, the Croydon Parish Church was nearly destroyed by fire in 1867 and was re-built by Sir Gilbert Scott. It is the burial place of six Archbishops of Canterbury. The church is almost 150 feet in length from east to west; 92-feet high nave with a fine open timber-work roof supported by angel corbels. Modern church hall.
