Victorian three-storey stone town hall built in 1869 in the Neo-Classical style with parapet, roof sculptures, tower with cupola, arched windows. Elegant entrance hall with tiled floor, beautifully restored high ceiling, chandeliers and red-carpted staircase leading to upper gallery. The hall is not the main council town hall anymore so its multi-purpose space is available during the week. There are five conference rooms, a council chamber, dining hall and kitchen In the basement are old Victorian prison cells with original barred doors and open brick work corridors. Parking and lift accessibility to all floors.
