Valentines Park is the largest formal park in Redbridge and is about 125 acres in size. The park was originally the private parkland of Valentines Mansion and parts were landscaped to created a Rococo landscape in the mid-18th century. The Rose Garden and the American Gardens were added during the late 19th Century. The council created the public park in the early 20th Century.
