Large concrete and glass theatre designed by Denys Lasdun between 1969 and 1976. There are extensive exterior concourse and balcony areas with views of the Thames and Waterloo Bridge. A large foyer with exposed rough concrete walls on three levels accommodating two restaurants, six bars and gallery space. There are parking spaces along adjacent roads that come under the jurisdiction of the National Theatre. The theatre has an underground car park.
