The BFI IMAX is a stand-alone cinema in the centre of a busy London roundabout. It is accessed via a network of underpasses. The building is a glass rotunda and from the second to the seventh floor, it houses the largest single advertising billboard in the country. An oasis of greenery has been created around the perimeter of the building and on the south side of the building. There are two spacious foyers, one on the ground and one on the first floor foyer, both with a fully licensed bar. The auditorium boasts 15 rows of steeply raked comfortable seats, and an extraordinary 20m by 26m silver screen (the largest in the UK).
