A large, level, open and grassy park with some newly redesigned gardens, including a Japanese-style herb garden, and an adjoining pond garden. In the west corner of the park stands Charlton House, one of the finest examples of Jacobean architecture in London. To the south east of Charlton House are two walled gardens and a formal vista. The park also offers a wide variety of outdoor sports facilities, including an outdoor gym and freestyle area for gymnastics, judo, aerobics, dance and taekwondo.
