The Cleverly Estate was built for the Peabody Fund in 1928 and its ornate exterior was based on the style of Sir Christopher Wren. The estate's three-storey redbrick buildings are set around internal courtyards and are surrounded by perimeter iron railings. The estate was expanded between 1960s and the 1980s with additional blocks and two terraces of bungalows. The courtyards have mature trees and grassy areas, and there is a communal garden and playground.
