A London landmark, the Sadlers' Wells Theatre was opened in 1999 on the site of the old theatre. It offers multiple filming locations on one site, and provides film-makers with flexible blank canvas spaces, comprehensive facilities and excellent technical services. The striking glass, brick and steel frontage has a 24m x 2m Polyvision screen onto which images and videos can be projected.
Two stages, one stage off-site, three rehearsal studios, one lecture theatre, rooms and open spaces, four spacious foyers, production offices, dressing rooms, wardrobe complete with washing and drying machines, extensive IT/technical and ancillary facilities, cafe area/kitchen, car park. The two-tiered auditorium can vary from 900 to 1,550 and can be extended to 1,900 with a promenade area. The mezzanine foyer takes up to 300 people and has a stunning view over the Polyvision screen; separate acoustic walls can be inserted.
