The Grade II* listed Institute of Education was built in 1976 and is iconic Brutalist architecture designed by Denys Lasdun. There are 30 classrooms, a 930-seat theatre and backstage area, five halls, a library and a large number of offices. The building has four large concrete towers, large external balconies and concrete staircases. Long service road running underneath the building. Boiler and pump rooms; long corridors; art studios; science labs; exposed concrete.
