Lee Valley VeloPark on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park offers track cycling in the iconic London 2012 velodrome, a road circuit, mountain bike trails and the berms of the re-modelled Olympic BMX track. The cafe offers viewing areas for the circuits and tracks. Designed by Hopkins Architects, the velodrome was completed in 2011 with a 250-metre race track. The distinctive roof was designed to reflect the geometry of cycling as well as being lightweight and efficient reflecting a bike. There is also a 360-degree concourse level with windows allowing people views of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Rooflights reduce the need for artificial lights.
