The Jamaica Wine House
United Kingdom / London, England
Location ID: #10141745
The Jamaica Wine House originally opened in 1652 as a coffeehouse. The current red stone building dates back to 1869 and the wood-panelled bar and high ceilings retain their Victorian character. There are many original features; the pub even has a 19th Century cooker for roasting coffee beans. Known locally as the Jampot, it was restored in 2009. In the basement is Todd's Wine Bar. The pub is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
