The View from the Shard is situated at the top of The Shard, the tallest building in Western Europe and London's newest landmark. At twice the height of any other viewpoint in London (800ft / 244m), it offers sweeping 360 degree views over the UK's capital for up to 40 miles. The Level 69 viewing gallery features triple-height atrium windows, and the open-air sky deck on Level 72 is exposed to the elements offering the chance to gaze up to the shards of glass that form the top of the sculptural building. Designed by Renzo Piano, the building and viewing platforms are high-tech. There are high-speed kaleidoscopic lifts.
