Grade II* listed modernist council estate, completed in 1954 by the Tecton architecture practice, led by Russian emigre architect Berthold Lubetkin. Some of its most stunning features are the vibrant mural in the ground hall entranceway, painted by Lubetkin's collaborator Peter Yates, the constructivist staircase in the heart of the building, a circular park and spectacular rooftop views. There are also a number of winding stairwells and rubbish chutes.
