Beckton Globe Library is a modern-build all-in-one community centre including the library, a cafe, creche, recording studios and a multi-purpose hall. The building has a mixed exterior design of glass, open brick and prominent circular entrance. Outside leading up to the building there is a large controllable pedestrian area with small trees, multiple metal benches and street lamps/CCTV towers. The library has a spacious round reception area, a large study area with bookshelves, desks, computers, etc. There is also a glass staircase, that keeps with the rounded-shape of the building - an impressive feature of the library. Much of the shelving is on wheels so can be removed with ease.
