Dartmouth House
United Kingdom / London, England
Location ID: #10142121
The original building was constructed in the 18th Century and was converted into a Mayfair townhouse in the later 19th Century. Dartmouth House is now the home of the English-Speaking Union. Many stunning original features are preserved, from the Robert Adams' fireplace to the painted ceiling by Pierre-Victor Galland above the grand Belgian marble staircase leading to the first floor function rooms. Individually designed rooms with fine ornate high ceilings incorporate the crest of the Dartmouth Family and rococo opulence in the Anglo-French style.
