The Roundhouse
United Kingdom / Dagenham, England
Location ID: #10142264
The Roundhouse was built in 1936 by Alfred W Broomfield with a round ground floor and a T-shaped upper storey with a bulky square tower in the centre. A classic example of the large inter-war pubs built on London Council housing estates. Blomfield provided a huge oval lounge at the rear and this still survives, with a cut-through to the adjacent room at the front. The various current bar area (lounge, sports, music) each have their own entrance.
