Alfies Antique Market is London's largest indoor antiques and vintage market. The maze-like building was built as a department store in the 1870s and has an Art Deco extension. Cluttered stalls and dark corridors mix with light spaces and minimalist shops. The basement contains a 20th Century designer showroom. Features include a rooftop terrace with a cafe, an Edwardian dark wood central staircase, a fish pond, a fountain, a 1950s style hairdressers amongst specialist antiques dealers. Alfies has a colourful Art Deco facade incorporating Gustav Klimt style portraits of Egyptian art.
