Stationers' Hall   3D Model

United Kingdom / London, England
Location ID: #10142405

Located close to St Paul's, Stationers' Hall is a Grade I listed building offering an exclusive range of charming, historic reception rooms of individual character and a garden with period features.
The present hall replaces one that was burnt down in the 1666 Great Fire and was completed in 1673. Oak panelling and carvings in the Stock Room date back to the 17th Century. Around the friezes are displayed the armorial shields of past masters of the company. The Livery Hall is resplendent in its architecture and design and is the largest function room. It has floodlit stained glass windows, oak panelling and armorial flags. The room has a warm and historical ambience and is a memorable location. Its musical acoustic is purported to be the best in London. At the south end of the hall is an original oak panelled screen surmounted by a minstrels gallery which can accommodate up to 20 musicians. The ante room is an exquisitely proportioned room, full of beautiful antique furniture, portraits and ornaments, with a stained glass window. The furnishings include a couple of 18th Century card tables inlaid with mother of pearl. The Court Room has 18th Century plasterwork and rococo ornamentation, and a carved fireplace.
