The Grade II listed Stratford East opened in 1884, and has maintained its classic look while experiencing changes over the years. It was refurbished in 1921 by acclaimed architect Frank Matcham, who designed the London Coliseum, and in 1992 the beautiful Victorian-era auditorium was restored. It seats up to 460 people on three levels, with a grand proscenium and large stage with easy loading access. The interior is red and gold, complete with stunning chandelier and six boxes. There are also two meeting rooms, two rehearsal studios, six dressing rooms and a bar, all of which can be hired.
