The Half Moon Theatre is a young people’s theatre, based in the heart of Limehouse, East London. Originally built in 1864 as the Limehouse Board of Works by Charles Dunch, Surveyor to the Board, the building has an ornate, Italianate stuccoed façade.
Today, on the ground floor, you will find an open foyer with large windows looking onto White Horse Road, and the main black box theatre space. Upstairs via a staircase or lift, you will find two rehearsal rooms – the Red Room, a space for meetings or a dressing room, and the Upper Studio, for rehearsals and featuring a grand piano.
