Description:
The church was designed by M Travers & M W Grant and was completed in 1932. The church has six bays making up the nave covered by a timber barrel vaulted roof with ornate tiles. The building has remained largely unchanged to the present day. Built in the 1920s, the Parish Hall has high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and is flanked by cream pillars. Skylights and the original pine wood floor give the hall a lovely light feel. The main hall is approximately 15.3m long by 12.1m wide and can seat 120 people in rows or 80 people round tables. The Vestry is part of the Holy Redeemer Church building that was built in the 1930s; with the original dark wooden doors and stained glass, this is an atmospheric space.
