Description:Designed in 1812 by Benjamin Wyatt, the Theatre Royal Drury Lane is the oldest theatre in the world still in use. Rebuilt 1921 in 1920s style with wood-panelled walls, cupola-topped atrium with grand staircases on either side with paintings of Edwardian scenes. Wood-panelled foyer, six bars, including the famous Grand Saloon and Rotunda - a large drawing-room with classical statues and chandeliers for after-show receptions, also available for hire. Large three-tiered curved auditorium with boxes seating more than 2,000. The Georgian white stucco front exterior with colonnade of blue pillars along the side streets by the stage door.
