Description:Opened in 1840, Nunhead Cemetery is one of the seven great Victorian cemeteries established in a ring around the outskirts of London. It has two gates: the North Gate, located on Linden Grove and the South Gate, located on Limesford Road. Many of its features have recently been restored to their former glory. It is about 52 acres and has a formal avenue of towering limes, grand monuments and simple headstones.
