Description:One of Hackney’s major green spaces, Hackney Downs opened as a public park in 1884. Sports facilities include basketball courts, tennis courts, a multi-use games area and a seasonal athletics track. There is a pavilion with two team changing rooms and a community room. A shelter in the children’s playground has been decorated with mosaics depicting animals and trees.
