Description:From Casino Royale to GMTV, Heathrow has acted as a backdrop for countless TV and radio programmes as well as a source of news in its own right. Terminals 1, 3, 4 and 5 are currently available for filming. With connections to over 190 worldwide destinations and over 68 million passengers passing through every year, Heathrow has always been a popular choice for news crews, documentary makers, photographers and location managers.
General Notes:For large location filming please email [email protected] with a full synopsis, explaining the exact context of Heathrow, along with proposed dates and times and the expected number of people involved in filming. For all other filming/photography requests Heathrow Airport has launched a new online system at www.heathrowairport.com/filming The online system enables applicants to get PDF copies of permits, as well as a much quicker decision than was previously possible. Under the Heathrow Byelaws 1996 S4(8) all commercial filming, recording and photography requires the permission of BAA. Heathrow Airport will consider most requests and considers these on a case by case basis. It may turn down a request if the material reflects the airport in a bad light; this may include some documentary projects. It cannot accommodate student productions.
