Description:Grade II listed functioning West End theatre, comprising of two bar areas, one auditorium, foyer area & staircases, modern dressing rooms. The Victorian theatre was designed by Thomas Verity in 1874 and is owned by The Criterion Theatre Trust Ltd. Intimate two-tiered curved auditorium with boxes seating 591, decorated in pink, cream and gold; original tiles line the corridors, stairs, and foyer, which also has painted ceilings. Two bars: a long Victorian-style dark pink mirrored room in the Stalls; an L-shaped bar in Art Deco style in the Dress Circle. Beautiful tiled front of house areas. Ornate stained glass canopied entrance.
