Description:Brockwell Park is a large, historic park located between Brixton, Dulwich and Herne Hill. As well as ornamental ponds, formal flower beds, a walled 'Old English' herbaceous flower garden and a charming 19th Century clock tower, Brockwell Park also contains a number of historic buildings, including Brockwell Hall and the Brockwell Lido (please see separate entry). There are a wide range of outdoor sports facilities available at Brockwell Park including basketball courts, football, bowling green, cricket, tennis courts and the lido. Brockwell Park has a children's play area, a paddling pool and a purpose-built BMX track, as well as toilets, picnic areas and shelters The large mansion house in the centre of park is now used as a cafe. Half of park is meadowland and half is long course grassland. . On the edge of the park lie high-rise council flats and large Victorian houses.
