Description:Finsbury Park was opened in 1869. A major restoration project of the large Grade II listed grassy park has recently been completed. Features include tennis courts, boating lake, children's playground, running track, flower gardens. Long carriageway that circles the interior of the park can be used as a controllable road and is a popular unit base that can accommodate the largest crews. Also features a large underground reservoir of interconnecting Victorian brick tunnels and arches, approximately the size of a football pitch (see separate entry for Finsbury Park Reservoir)
