Description:Georgian street, designed by Thomas Cubitt in 1822, preserved with the original bow-fronted shops on both sides. Terraced street of white stucco three-storey houses with the shops below painted black; now pedestrianised and paved, divided by a row of trees and period street lamps. Various shops including bookshops, cafes, antique shops, etc. Typical Dickensian scene.
