Description:
The east and south sides of the square were designed by Robert Adam between 1793-98; the palazzo-styled terraced houses are built in Portland stone; the north and west sides, completed 1827-35, are white stucco. The houses are built around a central garden fenced by iron railings and the road is now pedestrianised.
