Description:Occupying a virtual island site, the office building was completed in 1998. The building is based on basement, lower ground, ground and nine upper floors; mostly open plan with meeting rooms, kitchen and presentation area on the ninth floor. The building form is comprised of a pair of stone-clad blocks, which contain and form a visual frame to a curved glass frontage. The glazed curve relates to the existing sinusoidal plan form of undershaft, and to the vista from an adjacent plaza in front of Lloyds of London. There is an internal Art Cafe on the ground floor and a presentation area on the ground floor. A water sculpture has been erected at the main entrance, to the rear of the building is the entrance to the car lift.
