Description:
The Southbank Centre, situated on the south bank of the Thames, consists of the Royal Festival Hall (newly reopened after its two-year transformation), The Hayward, Queen Elizabeth Hall (containing the Purcell Room), and the Saison Poetry Library. The external site jurisdiction runs from Jubilee Gardens and the Queen's Walk opposite the London Eye, up past Waterloo Bridge to the Queen's Walk in front of the National Theatre. There are upper level walkways around the Royal Festival Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Hayward Gallery Buildings. And a graffiti-covered skate park in the concrete undercroft beneath the Purcell Room.
