Description:Surveyors House at RICS Westminster is a magnificent Victorian building featuring original charm such as a marbled reception, mosaic-tiled lobby, listed gold lift, grand lecture hall, and library. Traditional redbrick, gabled Victorian building purpose-built for the RICS in Franco-Flemish style, designed by Alfred Waterhouse. Connected to the next door building, the only surviving Georgian building in the street. and a modern (1976) council chamber. On the ground floor are four spacious rooms, with natural daylight. On the first floor, just up the sweeping marble and oak-clad staircase , there is a traditional oak-panelled Lecture Hall and a modern (1976) Council Chamber, whose large bow window overlooks the Supreme Court.
