Clapham Junction opened in 1863, with additional buildings added in 1874 and 1876, and has since been modernised. It is Britain's busiest interchange station, with a rush-hour feel at all times. Clapham Junction has many interesting features, including a long overbridge, an ornate Victorian entrance on Brighton Yard, 17 platforms connected by subways and a flying concourse, waiting rooms, multiple exits, subways and tunnels.
