Description:
Victorian town hall built in 1901. The facade is in a free Classic style. Wood panelled council chamber with columns and ornate ceiling. Parquet with inlaid design at centre. Wood panelled corridors. Stained glass doors, skylights, grand staircases. Mayor's parlour with fireside and armchairs. Council chambers & main hall with stage area. The library was built in 1927 and additional buildings were added in 1933.
